Visit, We Beg Thee, O Lord
Cotidiana

This prayer has been a traditional part of Compline probably since the fifth century or so. A partial indulgence is attached to this prayer from the Roman Breviary.

Amen. VISIT, we beg Thee, O Lord, this dwelling, and drive from it all the snares of the enemy; let Thy holy Angels dwell herein to keep us in peace; and let Thy blessing be always upon us. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

From the Liturgia Horarum, the Enchridion Indulgentiarum #64, and from the Raccolta, #62.
