This ancient prayer appears in both the Roman Missal and the Liturgy of the Hours. In the 1965 Missal it is used as the collect on the second Sunday after Pentecost. In the current Missal and Liturgy of the Hours it is the collect for the 12th Sunday of Ordinary Time.

| SANCTI nominis tui, Domine, timorem pariter et amorem fac nos habere perpetuum: quia numquam tua gubernatione destituis quos in soliditate tuae dilectionis instituis. Per Dominum. Amen. | BESTOW upon us, O Lord, both an abiding fear and an abiding love of Thy Holy Name. For those to whom Thou teachest the depths of Thy love, never dost Thou fail to govern by Thy grace.
