A medieval office in honor of the Holy Spirit. The Latin text below is taken from a 1741 edition of the Coeleste Palmetum.

Ordinaria	Start of all the Hours
V. Spiritus Sancti gratia, illuminet sensus et corda nostra. R. Amen.	V. May the grace of the Holy Spirit illuminate our senses and our hearts. R. Amen.
Ad Matutinum	At Matins only
V. Domine labia mea aperies. R. Et os meum annuntiabit laudem tuam.	V. O Lord, open my lips. R. And my mouth will announce Thy praise.
Ad Completorium	At Compline only
V. Converte nos, Deus salutaris noster. R. Et averte iram tuam a nobis.	V. Convert us, O God our Savior. R. And turn away Thy wrath from us.
Ad Horas Omnes	At all the Hours
V. Deus in adiutorium meum intende. R. Domine ad adiuvandum me festina.	V. O God, come to my aid. R. O Lord, make haste to help me.
V. Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto. R. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Alleluia*.	V. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. R. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Alleluia*.

THE grace of the Holy Ghost free unto us befall: Wherewith was overshadowed the maid of maidens all. When the angel Gabriel his salutation said, The Word itself flesh became and virgin fruitful made.

CALLED it was the Holy Ghost that comfort thus did bring, The gift of God, Charity, and the reviving spring, The unction Spiritual, and eke the fire that flames, Sevenfold grace, precious gift, so called by many names.

At His right hand He may please us joyfully to call.

V. Emitte Spiritum tuum, et creabuntur. R. Et renovabis faciem terrae.	V. Send forth Thy Spirit, and they shall be created. R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
Oremus: Adsit nobis, quaesumus Domine, virtus Spiritus Sancti: quae et corda nostra clementer expurget, et ab omnibus tueatur adversis. Per Dominum nostrum Iesum Christum filium tuum: Qui tecum vivit et regnat in unitate Spiritus Sancti Deus, per omnia saecula saeculorum. R. Amen.	Let us pray: We beseech Thee, O Lord, send down upon us the power of the Holy Spirit; may He mercifully purify our hearts and protect us from all adversity. THESE hours Canonical with devotion to Thee, And with godly respect O Holy Ghost I did say, That by inspiration visited we may be, In Thy heavenly region to live alway with Thee. Amen.
