| O castum ac beatum par turturum Ioachim et Anna, vobis omnis creatura obstricta est; per vos enim donum omnium donorum praestantissimum Creatori obtulit nempe castam Matrem quae sola Creatore digna erat. Vestra dignitatis ex immaculato ventris vestri fructu cognoscite, quem Deo perpetuo obsequio prompte consecrasti. Cor meum, obsecro, iunctam huic sacrificio hostiam, manibus vestris Deo omnipotenti offerte omnesque huius mei muneris defectus vestra, quam apud Deum invenistis, gratia compensate. Amen. | O chaste and blessed pair of turtledoves, Joachim and Anne, all creation is indebted to you; for through you the Creator was offered the most excellent of all gifts, the pure Mother, who alone was worthy of the Creator. Recognize the greatness of your dignity from the immaculate fruit of your womb, which you promptly and with perpetual obedience consecrated to God. I beseech you, offer my heart as a united victim with this sacrifice to Almighty God with your own hands, and make up for all the deficiencies of this offering of mine with the grace you have found before God. Amen. |
