Amen. |
O GRACIOUS LADY, O blessed Mother Anne! The name Anna, that is, Grace, was rightly given to thee; for to thee it was granted by God to bear in thy blessed womb and bring into this world the living heaven, greater than all the heavens. For He whom the heavens of heavens could not contain, thy Daughter enclosed in her immaculate womb. Thou art, O chosen Mother, that root of Jesse's rod, from which the most beautiful flower and sweetest fruit of our life, Christ Jesus, arose. Rejoice, O barren Anne! For from thy Daughter a Son has been born to us, whose name is called the Angel of Great Counsel, that is, the salvation of the whole world. Make me, O blessed Mother, a partaker of the grace which thou hast abundantly drawn from the fountain of graces, so that I may live and die in the love of the most beloved Jesus and under the protection of thy sweetest Daughter Mary. Amen. |
